I just bought a 2007 Subaru Forester with 5 miles on it. It rides very very rough. I brought it back and they balanced the tires. It still was bad. Then they realized the tires were filled too full, duh, and put them at the right pressure. It's still rough even going 20 miles an hour. YOu can feel EVERYTHING on the road. At 65 mph the steering wheel vibrates. Even when I am just idling, I feel my vibrations under my seat. I had a 2001 Subaru that I traded in to get this car and it drove like a dream. What's going on? I am tired of fighting with these fools at the dealership. Please help me!

If the car still shakes while driving it would seem like you have rotors unbalanced or loose. On a new car this is very unlikely. If it is shaking at idle try to put the car inbetween neutral and drive if it shakes only in drive then it could be a transmission issue. Either way this should definetly be an issue you should take up with the dealership this is cleary a manufacturer defect.

If you have a car you like, should always keep it, because of the financial side and the situation you have now. I see this so often

Anyways, if the dealership can't or isn't helping, contact Subaru directly. Sometimes there are inherent problems with cars that you have to live with. Sometimes making a big deal of it in the showroom with other potential buyers present with your salesman can make a difference. Lousy it has to be that way sometimes. But wait to go to extremes.

Talk to the service manager again in a calm manner and ask him to drive it with you first. Patience is needed in auto repair at times. :)
