1998 Subaru Forester stalled but no start

Stalled no start charged battery, good. Has spark and fuel pressure. Pulled cover for timing belt, belt is in great condition. Any help would be appreciate. Because ii work on ground service equipment, not cars. Im trying to help my brother whos down on his luck.

Hi rkt,

Test if the injectors are pulsing and has power to one of the terminals when igniton switch is turned on.

Spray some starting fluids into throttle body to see if you can get the engine to fire up momentarily, if yes it indicates a fuel problem.

Perform a cylinder compression test to see if it is a mechanical fault.
