Hello, I'm Danny.

Here is what I found for the THEFTLOCK feature on your cars radio after disconnecting the car battery. I've attached a picture step below. Let us know if this works and let us know what happens and we'll go from there. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.

If the car has the owner's manual you can look in it for the card or tag that has the radio unlock code on it. If no code is found the next steps depend on the radio type. If it has RDS on the faceplate you can plan on visiting a dealer to have it unlocked. They need to use the Tech-II scan tool to access the radio and get the code number that they then call in to GM and give their dealer code and the radio code to get the unlock code. For a non-RDS
radio then you can retrieve the ID code from the radio but you will still need to visit the dealer to have them call in the ID number along with their dealer code to get the actual unlock code.
In this case you will need to turn the key on, then press and hold the preset buttons 2 and 3 for a few seconds and a 2-3 digit number should show on the display, then quickly press the AM/FM button and a second 2-3 digit number should show. Write down the 4 or 6 digit number and take it to a local dealer for them to call in and get the unlock code.

Now if you know a GM dealer code you can call 1-800-537-5140 and use that code plus the radio numbers to get the correct unlock code by following the instructions on the phone.
