Hello, I have been having this problem for 2 days. I am not sure if the steering wheel is locked or I need a starter. I'll press the brake and push the push/start but car won't turn on. None of the bash board lights turn on besides when I have the door open. And the security lock is on it? So did it lock my steering wheel or?

Hello,

Just to clarify, when you push the button to start the vehicle, nothing happens? You get no dash lights or radio?

In order to look at all possibility. Have you got a chance to jump start the vehicle?

As you motioned the security light is on. Has anything different happened to the vehicle since the issue started. For example, if the vehicle gets raised on a jack while it is locked and security system activated, it can trigger the anti theft device and can lock steering wheel and not start. That security feature can also be activated by an internal electrical fault.

Let me know little more info of what you are experiencing.

Thank you.

Yeah, nothing happens. No radio or the dash lights either. Yeah I have, but nothing and the battery still works because the lights from the inside turn on. Because I took it to the mechanic and they raised it and it kind of hit the floor not hard but it hit it. But I was still able to drive it back. I washed my car and then that's when it locked. And the anti-theft blinking light came on.

If you have a second fob try to start with it first.
Many of these vehicles will require of scanning the vehicle for the security codes and fix accordingly.

But try this first: Disconnect the battery for 10 minutes. Reconnect, lock all doors and unlock with the key fob.
Try to start the vehicle. (If you 2 fobs try both)
If you still get no start and the security light still on and blinking, the system is refusing the key, possibly a malfunction within the system.
You will need a mobile lock smith to check the malfunction codes in the security system then if possible reprogram your key.
Typically reprogramming the fob will fix the issue.

Let me know what you find.

Thanks.
