Starting problem

Starts right up after you drive it and turn it off it won't start back up for several hours.

Hi,

This sounds like a fuel issue or spark issue. An engine only needs fuel, spark at the right time, and compression in order to run. The fact that it runs fine but does not restart could be a weak fuel pump. It could also be a faulty crank sensor so we need to do some testing.

If you have a fuel pressure gauge, let's hook that up and run the engine. Then when it does not restart we need to see if it has pressure. If it does, we can move onto spark.

When this is acting up we need to pull a plug wire off of a plug and hold it against a bolt on the engine and see if there is a spark. If not, we need to look at the crank sensor as the possible cause but we can dig further if that is what happens. Let me know what you find and we can go from there. Thanks
