Hello,

It is not possible to do an ignition bypass on your vehicle. Your vehicle is protected by Ford's Passive Anti Theft System[PATS] and without the PATS module receiving the signal from the chipped key, it will not start. Why do you want to bypass the ignition?

Thanks,
Alex

The key fan is broke. The car would only start if the unlock button on fob was pressed then turn key. I need car to start by using key with no key fob.

Good morning,

Do you have a second key to try to start the car?

It could be the key itself or the security system.

Are there any codes set?

So the car will start but only if you press the unlock button on the fob first? Is this with the car locked or is it every time even if it wasn't locked? What does it do if you use the key to lock and unlock the door and then try starting it? Or if you just try to start it without pushing the unlock button?
Asking because the description sounds like the security module isn't getting the signal that the car is unlocked until you press the button.

At this point I would connect up a dealer level scan tool and watch the inputs to the security system. It would show you if the lock is sending a locked or unlocked trigger to the system and if it is reading the key as a valid one. If you have another key try it as well because it is possible there is a fault in the one you are using. However without seeing what the security module is doing is a major handicap.
