Flashing check engine light on start up and loss of engine power

Start my car listed above with 5.0 h.O built motor flashes check engine half shuts off and picks it self up. Idles high for 2 minutes then idles down runs rough lost half my power. I did change plugs, wires, replaced idle air control valve, didn't fix anything, but it was shot. So I don't know i'm lost. Want my power back.

Hello, I'm Danny.

Having the check engine light on means you have a fault code stored in your vehicle's computer causing this issue. The first thing you need to do is retrieve the fault code or codes that are causing your drivability issue and low power. Here is a tutorial showing how to retrieve codes:
