Stalls and sometimes it starts back up but continues to buck and jerk

My car stalls and dies. Sometimes it starts back up but continues to buck and jerk. Sometimes it does not start back up for a couple of hours. Even if I leave it running in idle it will stall and then it dies out in about ten minutes. Please help!
