Is there anyway to permanently disable the SRS light?

Hello, I am Danny.

That means a code is stored related to the SRS system. Have you checked the code(s) to see what problem is indicated? Just curious why you want to disable? You can take the mini-bulb out of the socket in the instrument cluster if you like. I have attached a tutorial on how to check codes. If you do not have access to a code reader your local auto parts stores can scan for free. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.

The reason I wanted to disable the light was that I thought I would not be able to pass inspection here in Texas since I did not know how to fix the problem. But to my surprise after checking with an inspector I found out that the SRS light being on has no effect on a inspection in Texas.
