SRS light turned on and headlights started to dim

I was driving and my SRS light illuminated. After it came on, I noticed my headlights beginning to dim, almost to where it looked like they weren't on but my taillights were okay. It also seemed to drain my battery so low it had to be charged.

Welcome to 2CarPros.

It sounds like the battery was slowly going dead. What I suggest is to recharge the battery and then load test it. If it passes, then I recommend checking the alternator for output. Here are links that explain how these things are done.:

As far as the SRS light coming on, most likely that is the result of a weak battery.
