Okay guys, the speedometer does not work. I took the sensor off the transmission hooked up to a drill to it turn it and speedometer works that way, it has a electrical sensor not a cable. So is there a gear attacked to that sensor from the transmission? And do you have a part number?

Good morning.

The plastic gear that is driven is usually the issue. It dishes in the center and does not contact the gear inside the case to send the signal. Inspect the gear carefully.

As far as a part, the dealer will sell you the entire bullet or sensor. If you go to a transmission shop with the part, they will match the color and number of teeth for you. They are cheap, usually around $10.00.

If the gear is good, the the issue is inside the case on the drive gear. Look inside and check for any damage to the drive gear.
