Transmission problem
2000 Dodge Dakota V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

My 2000 dodge dakota rt started to not shift properly and the speedometer is not working right either. It takes longer than it should to shift to the first couple of gears then it does fine. Please help!

Have the computer scanned to be sure, but it sounds like a bad vehicle speed sensor (VSS). It can cause both of the problems you desribed.

I replaced the vss but still having the same problems
