Car will not accelerate properly

Only a slow acceleration is possible as the car bucks in first gear. At high speed the vehicle, will bog down going from fourth to fifth gear and feels as though I have flooded the carburetor. If I carefully bring the car up to speed, it will perform very well until any upward incline.

Good morning,

This sounds like you have a clogged catalytic converter not allowing the engine to breathe.

You need to have the back pressure tested to be sure. That is when they remove an O2 sensor and insert a gauge to measure the back pressure.
