Something dies and will start for a while

So I have a extra that will start missing and die. Try to start it back up and will just turn over. Can let it sit a while and will start and run fine. May go for days with no trouble. It has done it when it was hot and when it was just started up. Replaced plugs, fuel filter, module in distributor. Took it to the Nissan place they hooked it up to the computer and said the crank positioning sensor was bad and the wire going to it was bad. Well 400 dollars later I am having the same issue.

Check fuel pressure with a gauge it may be low pressure or pump just quits. this may happen if you ever ran out of gas. when it happens again take palm of hand an hit bottom of tank or a rubber mallet if it starts the pump is shot. see link.
