I am not getting power to my convertible top to let it down with the electric Roof button in the console. Are there any write-ups to the probable causes of this switch being non-responsive?

(This car has sat for over two years, on a bed of wood chips outside under a tree.)

Just to check, you are not getting voltage on the top switch?

So you have pulled it down and moved the switch and confirmed you are not getting voltage in either direction?

Here are a couple guides that help with this:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-use-a-voltmeter

If this vehicle was sitting has been sitting outside then we need to suspect there is corrosion in some of the connections so we need to actually check to find out what voltage is at the switch when you are pressing it because you may have partial voltage which would indicate a corrosion issue.

Please see the wiring diagram below as well which will help with this.

Thank you much. This will be a continued project as there are so many areas where the motor could be faulty, and this will be low priority compared to the engine work. Which takes me to my next question. I will save this for future reference and start new thread.

Perfect. This will always be here so whenever you get around to it, just come back to it and we can pick it up from here.

Thanks for using 2CarPros.
