Car does not overheat or give check engine light but a very faint smoke can be seen when hood is raised. Sometimes it’s bad enough to be seen without the hood being up.

Good afternoon,

You have something leaking and hitting the hot exhaust.

You need to have someone check it to find out what fluid is leaking and the location of the leak.

I got one diagnosis of a oil pan gasket leak, but again it doesn’t run hot. Show a check engine light, low oil, or smoke from the exhaust. Not sure if I need a second opinion.

I would get this repaired. The oil most likely is hitting the hot exhaust. You do not want to have a fire from this leak.

No, there will be no codes or running hot.
