Smoke from exhaust pipe also car vibrates when start the car or at lights while idling. Poor acceleration clicking sound under the hood. Smell of chemicals. Car runs worst when heat is on. Car gets really hot. Brought it to dealership and they said it's normal for rotten egg smell and it'll go away. It is making me sick. My nose clogs up and hurts eyes burn and feel nauseous plus very tired while driving. Car drives better when I don't use the heat or it's colder out but now I am freezing. Is it a bad catalytic converter? How do I get them to listen and fix it? It's a new car.

It does not sound like a very pleasant experience at all.

It being a new vehicle (and not mistreated by you) I might look at at the possibility that maybe something in the exhaust system maybe could have been damaged somehow at some point.

Such as the pipe(s) could have gotten kinked or squished and is now restricting the exhaust system.

Other than that, one might share the fascinating experience you posted at the beginning of this post with other prospective kia buyers in the showroom or out on the dealerships lot. Sometimes a little rattling of the cage might work better than going crazy, getting into a hollering match and being thrown off of the property.

You might also try calling further up the chain for help.

Last of all, if you can get your money back, check out the Jeep place, they have always done well, starting in 1941 kicking butt during WWII!

Wow I'd probably be camped out in front of the dealer myself. From your description I would say the converter is either bad or there is a fuel problem with that car. You might want to try a different dealer to see if they are willing to help. Or as Medic says go farther up the chain and get help there. Kias customer service number is 1-800-333-4542 Tell them what the issue is, what the dealer told you and ask to be contacted by the regional manager.
