Slammed on the brakes, drove home, next day car is completely dead?

My mother had to slam on the brakes to avoid someone cutting her off. She was still able to drive home, no problem. The next day the car is completely dead. No noise at all from battery etc, headlights and brake lights come on, but the dash icons only come on for a second and don't stay on. It's a push-button start. She says the pedal is hard to push.

Yep, it sounds like the julot caused the battery to short our internally or you have a bad connection at the battery either way here are guides to help us fix the problem and directions for your car in the images below.

Yes. It ended up being the battery, mechanic said it was probably the extreme cold weather we were having and it wasn't that weak but the battery is 7 years old so it was just replaced. Thank you for quick response.
