When you go to start the van all you hear is a single click and nothing else. I had the battery checked it it came out good, I went ahead and replaced the starter but it did not resolve the problem. The engine did run out of oil but when attaching a socket to the fly wheel I was able to turn the motor with about 25 pounds of force. I'm not sure what else could be the problem. I tried putting the van in different gears including neutral but nothing.

Hello,

This sounds to me like the cable going to the starter is either loose or has corrosion on it.
Anyway I have included in the diagrams below a factory troubleshooting flowchart that will specifically pinpoint the problem your van is having with the starting system. You will need a multimeter and a battery load tester to do these tests but they are straight forward and easy to do and will ensure that your van is fixed right. Go through it and get back to us with what you find out.

Thanks,
Alex
