Car was driving fine in second gear decided to change relays to see what happens and now it won't even go back in second gear. It won't go over 20 miles per hour now it used to go at least 40. I think I have the relays mixed up. I don't know where they go none of your diagrams look just like my relay box. This is what mine looks like. I don't know if I have them in order I must not have them right because it does not work right. Can I get a image of where exactly these go? I do not know how to read your diagrams very well I need to see something more simple please.

Hi,

To confirm this is correct, I need to know the engine size. The attached is for a 2.0L. Now, I have no idea what was happening or what is happening now. Do you mean the transmission isn't shifting? The relays in that box aren't for shifting. Take a look at this list. The correlate with the pic.

Relay locations on fuse/relay panel
1 - A/C Relay (13)
2 - Rear Window Wiper/Washer Relay (72)
3 - ECM (Engine control Module)
3 - Power Supply Relay (30, 109, 288)
4 - Load Reduction Relay (18)
5 - Open
6 - Emergency Flasher Relay (21)
7 - Open
8 - Washer/Wiper Intermittent Relay (19, 99)
9 - Seat Belt Warning System Relay (4, 29)
10 - Fog Light Relay
11 - Dual-Horn Relay (53) Or Bridge For Horn
12 - Fuel Pump Relay (67, 80,167) Or Glow Plug Relay (102,104)

Let me know if I have the correct engine size and exactly what is happening.

Joe

Right it is the 2.0 engine. I don't know what's wrong. I changed it relays and now won't go out of first gear. It used to drive at least in second gear because it's been throwing a bunch of codes about my solenoids and I don't know what that problem was. But it got a lot worse when I messed with the relay box. Now I took this car out after I put some transmission fluid in it and I put the OBD2 reader on the car while I drove it and as I was erasing clearing the codes the car would go into third and fourth gear, but soon after would just go back and bog down back to first gear. The codes came back consistently. Did the same thing as I erase them so I don't know if it's a electrical issue. I am currently taking the plugs off on the transmission and I could see a lot of oil or water inside of the plugs. I'm going to clean them right now.
