Pop the trim cover off the top of the engine and look in the middle of the two center spark plugs. That is the cylinder head temp sensor. It is also the coolant temperature sensor for the PCM and fan controls.

AutoZone scanned my computer due to service engine light, and it said I needed one of each. Now you are telling me they are one and the same? The printout they gave me showed 2 different parts they wanted me to buy not 2 of the same.

There is only one temp sensor used on that engine. Part 8S4Z6G004A. Do you know the actual code? No codes on a vehicle actually point to an individual part. They point to something the PCM sees as "wrong" and that is where real diagnostics comes in. Sometime there are what are known as pattern failures where a particular code does trace back to a common part failure because of a batch of defective parts, but those are somewhat rear. If you know the code post it and we can determine what the real issue is. The attached are all images of the wiring for monitored sensors for engine management. I'm not sure what AZ was trying to sell you but it isn't used on your vehicle.
