EVAP Sensor Issues

Recently I went to the smog test and did not pass because mi EVAP monitor and catalytic monitor shows not complete. Please I need help. What can I do to pass the smog test?

Try another scanner some wont work others will, check fuel pressure as well with a gauge auto parts rent it.

There isn't a code to give for catalytic monitor the only thing I can think of is an O2 sensor may not be heating up right. Or it is a can bus problem that can only be seen by a professional scanner not auto parts.

Just to add to this one before you went to the smog test did you clear any codes in the computer battery die or was it replaced?

Now the check engine light is on due to P0420 code catalytic converter.

Sounds like the codes were cleared at some point that's why the monitors wernt ready. When the battery dies or is replaced or codes are cleared. The monitors get cleared and have to be reset by driving/operating under certain conditions. Sounds like you have a bad cat from the code you have. As long as there are no exhaust leaks then more then likely you have a bad cat.

After you get it installed you will have to clear codes and drive it for a few days and see how the monitors look. It can take a while for them to set. Also your welcome were here to help.
