I had to start it in gear reverse that is and when I did it jumped back pretty hard like twice. Didn't start so I put in one and started it in gear again got down the road and it had no power like it was running on two cylinders it would barely idle.

Hi,

It's possible that the timing has jumped. Have you checked to see if there are any diagnostic trouble codes? Here is a link explaining how it's done on a Nissan OBD1 system:

Next, if you are unable to retrieve codes, then I recommend checking engine compression to see if it may have jumped. Here is a link you may find helpful:

Let's start with this. Hopefully, it will point us in the right direction.

Take care,

Joe

Also, let me know if the battery is good in the vehicle.
