My security light is flashing. When I try to start there is nothing (like a dead battery, but battery is fully charged and everything works). I do not believe it is the pass-lock as the truck does not engage the starter. I have tried two different keys, blowing out the ignition switch with compressed air, disconnecting the battery for a day, etc. My only thought is the ignition switch went bad. Am I correct? Does that just "happen" as this is the only time I have ever had an issue like this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, you will have to have a mechanic scan for codes to see what is wrong with security system that is why it wont start. Check fuses under hood as well as there may be one blown.
