1997 Saturn SW2 Car wont start on the first crank, but star

Sometimes my car will not start on the first try. Then I just stop trying to crank it and immediately try again and it starts right up.

It seems to happen after the car has been running and not the first time starting it in the day.

Ok have you changed the fuel filter and if so when? Have you checked the fuel pressure? If not then I would recomend that you have or you check the fuel pressure as it happens. Meaning that you hook up the fuel pressure gauge then try to start is as you would when it won't start and see what the fuel pressure is at that time. Let me know what you find.
