A leaking water pump isnt causing ur car to hessiate unless maaybe its over heating from loosing coolant. But I would fix the leaking water pump before I worried about the hessiation. So why dont u replace the water pump and get back to me about ur other problem with alot more details. Let me know when u replaced the pump.
