So did the old starter make a humming noise also?Do you have a multimeter?Does the engine turn over freely by hand?Let me know.

Did the old starter just hum as well like the new one does?Or did it do something else? Also have you made sure the battery cables are clean and tight?Have you had the battery tested?A multimeter is pretty cheap and would really help you see if your battery was giving your starter enough voltage. Let me know what you find.

Your computer is under the dash driverside close to the door opening. The computers don't go bad often why do you suspect you have a bad computer?

Well hopefully he has a twin cam automatic saturn or the computer has no chance of working in his car. We could get yours running if you would give me some information on whats going on with it. Like answering the ask questions I asked you and getting a multimeter. Iam just trying to help you get your car running again.

You never said if your engine turn over freely by hand with the spark plugs out?First check your ignition 3 fuse in your under hood fuse box make sure it's not bad..The easy way to check the starter circuit is go to your selector switch mounted below your brake master cylinder it has your shifter cable going to it.There will be two big purple wires coming off it that are side by side have someone turn the key to the start postion and hold it there you should have battery voltage to both those wires while the connector is plugged in.Let me know what you find Like if you only have power to one wire or full battery voltage to one and partial to the other.

What I mean is if you take out all your spark plugs and get a wrench or a rachet and socket and turn the engine over by hand with it by your crank shaft pulley bolt. It should turn over freely also did you test for power like I suggested? If so what did you find?
