I rebuilt this engine, put everything in it new. Now I have oil in the cooling system, but no antifreeze in the engine oil. What did I do wrong?

The engine had 280,000 miles on it. The rings were worn out, and it was burning oil. It smoked like a freighttrain. I, ve been driving it for a week

Did u send the head out and have it pressure tested and rebuilt. The only time I have seen oil in the coolant and not coolant in the oil has been a cracked head remove the valve cover and see if u see a clean spot where the oil has been washed away by the coolant. Typically the head cracks in the cam journal where the cam rides in the head in the 3rd or fourth cam journal. Let me know what u find.
