When it die's and won't start for a little while try this take off two spark plug wire's off the coil tower's that are right next to each other and have someone crank it over and watch for a spark jumping from tower to tower. Let me know what you find.

I took the wires off and there was no arch jumping from towers. Does that mean the coil packs are bad.

You most likely have a bad crank shaft position sensor. When it get's hot it goes open inside you would have to test it when it was hot and has no spark and see what ohm's value it has across the two sensor terminal's. It should be about 800 ohm's. The crank shaft position sensor is on the right rear of engine under the starter.

Well at least you have it fixed you were suppose to check it when it was hot and had no spark you must mean 1500 ohm's I have never seen it 15 ohms the reading's start out at like 800 ohm's and go up from there till it read's as an open. The main thing is it's fixed.
