Transmission problem
1996 Saturn SC1 Automatic 136000 miles

I noticed the shifting acting up and the check engine light came on had it checked and it said gear three incorrect ratio. Does this mean I have to get a whole new transmission?

It doesnt mean u have to get a new transmission. The most common cause of that code is ethier low line pressure in the transmission or a ur third geard piston is holding pressure. Also a bad 3rd gear shift solindo or the wiring to it. What shifting problems are u having?Do u have a delay in reverse?The info the better let me know.
