Speedometer dials sporadically go crazy

A year ago the speedometer and rpm dials randomly went up and down and then resumed back to their approriate readings while I was driving. We went to a dealership and they couldn't reproduce the problem while in the shop however they did fix our temperature gauge. They said it could have an affect on the dials if the temperature gauge was off so they fixed it and we no longer had that problem until just a few days ago. We took our car to a different dealership and they did a few repairs on the breaks and right wheel bearing and then we went home. However soon after we started driving we noticed the dials acting crazy again. This hadn't happened for a year and we couldn't help but think that maybe this dealership inadvertently contributed to the recurrence of this problem. Maybe they loosened up a wire or something because now not only do the dials act crazy but both the air bag light and the emergency break lights come on at the same time. What's really strange is that, while in motion, the electricity in the car seems to momentarily turn off for a brief second and then it all goes back to normal. Also since getting the car back we have had some difficulty starting the car. Any suggestions?

I had a similiar problem going down the highway thought it was my trans. Had it checked and they advised to have my alternator check. I did and it was not working properly. I replaced it and it worked fine after that.
Hope this helps!
