I left the lights on, the battery died. Tried jump starting, however jumper cables were hooked up incorrectly, hooked jumper cables up correctly, lights will come on all power works, car will crank but will not start. Any ideas?

The car is a manual, no problems prior to battery dying, 175k miles.

Check for burned out fuses that are burned out. Is the engine getting spark at #1 spark plug, or is it getting any fuel? Post back your results.

Check teh ignition coil. It may have been fried or melted off when you hooked up the cables wrong, if that is good then check for wires feeling and looking for a burned off wire, but first id check the igntion coil and all ignition relays
