I'M SORRY, IT'S A 2001 SATURN L300--I DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT CARS BUT WHEN YOU ASK ABOUT THE SIZE OF THE ENGINE, ARE YOU ASKING IF IT'S A V6? WELL ANYWAY IT'S A V6, THE KEY TURNS IT CRANKS AND THE RADIO COMES ON BUT IT WON'T ALWAYS START AND WHEN IT DOES, IT DIES SHORTLY AFTER, IT DOESN'T SPUTTER OR ANYTHING BEFORE IT DIES, IT JUST KILLS

My guess is the battery is original, you get an average of 5 years out of them. If so, replace it.

Is this something your going to tackle or take it in?
There are a couple spots to start. The most important is to check the pcm and bcm for codes present with a code reader.

Thanks for your help, I just want to know what i'm getting into money wise, i'm broke and someone told me that it could be my fuel pump and I hear that's pricey

It might be, but I found 2 technical service bulletins.
One is reprogramming the pcm wiht new software and the other is a chafed wire in the rear floor area.
That's why I asked if you wer going to go after it.
Does your rear hatch light work? Does it work when it doesn't start?

EVERYTHING WORKS WHEN I TURN ON THE CAR, AND IT WILL RUN FOR A LITTLE WHILE THEN IT WILL DIE ON ME.

MY car is doing the same thing I took it to get a dianistic test and the mechanic says that he doesnt see any thing wrong. The only thing that pops up is a bullitin(?) I already put so much money in Im going broke can any one help please.
