1996 Other Saturn Models speedometer works odometer does not

So your speedometer works but your mile's driven never change's?I have seen a lot of 1991-1994 model saturn's do that and it was the odometer gear broke my sister's 1993 SL1 did that and I order the gear and replaced it and now it work's great. IN 1995 they changed the dash and the cluster set up. In 1991-1994 you had to replace the cluster if anything went wrong like the fuel gauge speedometer etc. In 1995 threw early vin 1998 they had the gear's in later vin 1998 they went to digital odometer. But starting in 1995 they made it where you could change each piece like if the speedometer/odometer failed you could take it apart and change just that.I have never saw a 1995 or above odometer fail I have had them make noise but not stop working. You have two choice's replace it or try to repair it.I looked online and they list up to 1996 odometer gear's for sale. So if you chose to repair it you would have to take it apart and see what broke.
