1995 Other Saturn Models Engine over heating

I have a Saturn wagon, 1995, The tempature gauge goes three quarters of the way up before the fan kicks on and the gauage returns to normal, when sitting in traffic. It stays normal while driving.I had the temperture sensors replaced and the thermostat. Now the gauge stays three quarters of the way up. All of the time.
Whats up with that?

Hi there,

I would check the running temp of the thermostat, just to make sure it is not to hot, also have the radiator cleaned & flow tested as it may have a partial blockage.
