Check engine light came on. Took vehicle to Toyota. They said slight damage to the fuel tank vent hose. Don't see any cracks but recommend replacing vent hose due to age and mileage. Also found small crack on fuel cap gasket. Recommend replacement too. Also, said there was an engine oil leak caused by valve cover gasket leaking and should replace. Repair estimate given $ 2,200.00
more than the blue book value. Declined repairs. Is vehicle safe to continue to drive? Engine check engine light remains on.

Thank you for your help.

Good afternoon,

What were the codes numbers that were set?

Can you scan and upload the estimate to this post for me to review?

Roy, first code was PO 440. Found a disconnected hose from the charcoal canister to fuel tank and reconnected. Passed evap test. Next code was technical service bulletin EG008-02. I will try and send you the complete estimate. Thank you

Please, what was the code number?

You fixing that small leak most likely took care of that TSB.
