Sabotaged my engine in order to buy and easily fix

My car was on the freeway at 70mph, then it made a slipping revving noise, and dropped permanent ly into 2nd gear "limp mode" unless I put it in reverse or park. After that, every time I restart it it shifts fine for 10 to 15 seconds and then, Slips and revs until it catches into 2nd gear again and it stays there. I have added Lucas transmission stopleak, Lucas fluid renewal stabilizer to the old tranny fluid in hopes it would miracle fix it but it did not. HUMOR ME PLEASE, If someone just wanted to trick me into selling me this car for scrap metal tovthem, only to sneakily fix it easily for cheap to keep, is there a specific reversal to get the car back in running condition, ? My jeep Cherokee and Cadillac sedan Deville before my Sebring all mysteriously came back to me exact same problem.

If it's in limp mode it's one of two things, an electrical problem or internal damage to trans and I would go for the latter due to your explanation. Oh, btw don't waste your money on engine/trans products that are sold they don't work.

Definitely electrical. Or possible filter is clogged loss of pressure doesn't allow tranny to function? Just guess for mec

If it is electronic, would u say try the TCM FIRST, OR THE INPUT SPEED OR OUTPUT SPEED SENSORS First? I REALLY AM TOO BROKE TO GO TO ANY GARAGE LET ALONE A DEALER. IF ITS OVER 200 dollars.I am on bus or back to the state prison shortly after. If u had to humor me if Ya would, THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT HAS BEEN ON SINCE THE CAR DID THIS, 70 mph, slipped into 2nd gear. Next day shifted from 1 gear, up to 2nd is fine, trying but fails to shift any higher, still has P, N, D, R and some healthy go go to it, my needle odometer and rpm is also on and off off/on again but mph speedometer and cold hot gauge needles are always on. Thereanicphillips N AUTO STICK 2.5v6jxi Convertible, repeats daily. Fluids are up to recommended.
