Suddenly running rough with a fair bit of smoke n strong smell of fuel. Starts easily but check engine came on and couldn't cancel alert for it.

Hello,
It sounds like an injector is stuck on could have shorted out etc. You should be able to remove all spark plugs and the cylinder with the wet/black plug will be the culprit. Here is a guide to help you test the injector once you have removed it:

Hi Ken, thanks for your reply. It has been diagnosed as cylinder 4 misfire. How is this repaired and is it expensive as I am on a pension?
