RPM needle is stuck beyond the 6 and won't fire

So I have a 3.9 v6 5 speed dodge dakota 295000 still strong was in the process. Of cleaning terminals when I hooked the battery back I noticed my rpm e needle behind the unleaded only I went to crank it and the motor turned over but no fire

There may be a problem with the ignition system (hall sensor in the distributor etc). I am attaching a walk through diagnostic that covers all the most probable causes. Just use the link below;
