Idles rough but doesn't shut off, accelerates fine until you get to 55MPH then while cruising it acts like its stuttering. Kick it into passing gear and stuttering goes away. Although sometimes you have to press the gas pedal pretty far to get it to down shift. No engine codes. Also, when it gets down to just under 1/2 tank of gas it shuts off. It will restart and run a short distance before shutting off again.

Also, I don't think I hear the fuel pump, but I hear the relay click. Then a few seconds after the relay clicks, I hear a click clunk somewhere on the driver's side of the engine.

So, I noticed the VSS sensor fault does the speedometer work? If not, I would start there with replacement the VSS here is the location in the diagrams below. Also, it does sound like the fuel pump is going out, so I have included instructions on how to change that out as well. Here is a generic guide to help you see what you are in for when doing the job:

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.

Hey Ken, thank you for your response. The speedometer works. I changed out the fuel pump along with the fuel pressure regulator and fuel filter. I was mistaken earlier when I said the fuel gauge worked. It works now lol. But I still have a rough idle and a shudder when I try to accelerate from a cruising speed. When I kick it down a gear, it accelerates fine. Also. Prior to changing these parts my fuel pressure was 32 with ignition on. And 30 running. It's still the same fuel pressures after changing these parts. Also, when I turn the ignition on, I still hear a small clunk after a few seconds that seems to come from the driver's side of the engine bay.

Can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so I can hear the noise? That way I can tell for sure what's going on. You can upload it here with your response.

Thanks for the video, I have never heard that noise before, that is a good one, can you have a helper turn the key on like you did and can you try to pinpoint where the noise is coming from, which part?
