Hello,

I found something talking about rocker arm and rocker arm shaft clearance. Maybe there isn’t enough, so the bolt is snapping? I don’t know what kind of work has been done to your vehicle but something being in just the wrong spot could cause things to bind and break.

I am including the measurements for the rocker arm to shaft clearance as well as some information on installation.

I found a torque spec of 14 ft lbs. For the adjuster nut on the rocker arm. That’s not a lot at all so I am surprised they are breaking. Are they junk bolts? Most of the time hardware made from inferior materials so that it is cheaper will cause more trouble than they are worth. In my opinion it is better to go to the dealer for important hardware like that. Or ARP is a very reputable company that sells automotive hardware. It is also possible there is something wrong with your torque wrench.

Just trying to narrow down the possibilities.

I have included a picture of an exploded view of your motor or one very similar just for your information.

Hope this helps. Let me know how you make out and we can go from there.
