I have a truck that started sputtering and actually backfires in the front of the vehicle. The check engine light starts blinking when I push it to get up a hill. It’s been two days and haven’t driven it unless I had to, but any insight would be appreciated!

Good afternoon,

I would start by checking the compression. Backfire and low power usually has something to do with one cylinder with low compression.

You should have 140-160 pounds in each cylinder.
