Reverse gear?

I've been noticing that my truck runs perfectly fine in drive, but I'm eagerly anticipating what might happen with the reverse gear. Lately, I've had to rev the engine, and sometimes it jumps into reverse. I'm curious to see if anyone has insights into what might be causing this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would check the transmission fluid first and if needed change the fluid and filter. You must use Nissan style fluid, or the transmission will not shift FYI. Also, we should run the codes to see if you have a "circuit high or low" code.

This guide can help:

Here is a guide to help you check the fluid level/condition. If the fluid is burnt do the full service.
