No start, after disconnected the battery. Do not have fob keys. Had a key made plain by a car lock smith.

Well the good news is that vehicle doesn't use a transponder key. What does the security light do when you insert the key? Turn the key to on? Try to start the engine?
What does the engine do when you turn the key to start? Nothing? Clicks? If you turn the lights on do they dim when you try starting it?

I would check the fuses first, Those are fuse 7 (power locks) and fuse 18 (anti-theft) If either are blown the anti-theft will activate. You can also remove fuse 18, wait a minute and put it back in, that may reboot the anti-theft.

This is a generic reset process, one of the steps may reset your system as well.
