Replacing steering column

Replaced steering column in my truck it is a manual transmission. I got the other column out of a older Explorer. Everything bolted up. When I turn on the ignition switch the fuel pump does not come on and the relay does not click. Also I have 12 volts out of the red wire on the coil pack but no fire to the engine. So no spark and no fuel. Ran fine before changing the column and I used my old ignition switch on the new column. What am I missing?

Hello.
Sounds like you have lost power to the power-train control module. The fastest and easiest way to be sure if you have lost power to the module is to check for power to the injectors. The first thing I would check is to see if the fuse blew while installing the column, the fastest and easiest way to be sure if you.

Hello.

Sorry, somehow I sent my reply before finishing it I have included to diagrams so you can see where the power is routed. If you find that injectors don't have power I would first check the fuse. If the fuse is okay then I would test the relay for power and signal. If the Injectors do have power then I would check to be sure you did not accidentally trip the inertia cut off switch for the fuel pump. To reset press the white reset button on the switch located under the instrument panel to the right of the transmission hump. If you still have issues after taking these steps I would be more than happy to help further.

The fuses are all good. The inertia switch has not been tripped. I wired the fuel pump to come on directly but have no fire to the plugs. The red wire at the 4 pin harness plug to the coil pack is hot. I was thinking bad coil pack but with the pump and the coil not working it would seem to be something in the ignition part of it. But the switch was working in the old column.

You did not mention if you where able to check if the injectors have power, that would be of great help. Otherwise the next step it to make sure the switch is functioning properly. I have attached the diagram so you can make sure that with the switch in the run position that all wires that should have power do.

Okay, the fuel pump is coming on now after messing with fuse box and wiring. I replaced the coil pack and it starts now but only by crossing the solenoid. It will not turn over using the ignition key switch. The theft light is on with the key on and with it off. It is not blinking fast and not turning off the fuel pump though. But the truck will not turn over without crossing the solenoid. I have not checked clutch pedal sensor yet.

If I can jump in here the starter circuit is basic please check the fuse # 24 - 15 amp and the starter relay. Here are guides and the starter wiring diagrams below so you can see how the system works:
