I have located where the blend door actuator is, but it is a challenge to get to. Does anyone have experience in replacing these and can provide a step by step guidance on doing so?

One step I believe I need to do is to remove the glove box, but I cannot figure out how to remove it first. I cannot find any videos online that explain how.

Also any advice on particular tools I should use, especially when trying to pull a part out that is secured by the yellow clips?

The mechanic shop stated it would cost nearly $2,000 to fix. I’d like to figure out a way I can do this myself.

Any advice is greatly appreciated

The reason for the high price is that the service information only shows replacing that actuator by removing the interior of the truck so that you can remove the console and dash and then removing the HVAC case and taking the center core of the case off to get to the actuator for replacement. All the service info I looked at shows the same thing and quotes 10 hours time for any of the parts on the HVAC system not including needing to drain the coolant and recover the AC charge. Even removing the glove box requires removing the lower dash because of screws hidden under it. I asked a friend who is a Toyota tech and they pull the dash because there isn't room to actually get the actuator out from between the case halves with the ductwork in place.
I believe that truck uses the same basic dash as the Tundra truck. See if this video is any help https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_x7MTzmhxc
