2005 Renault Scenic EMMISIONS

I have a renault scenic 2005 1.6 petrol. The car seems to be chuging along, a little loss in power and a message came up saying check emmisions. Any help?

Have the vehicle plugged into a diagnostic computer at a repair centre .. this will tell you where the fault lies .. I suspect one of the coils has gone down .. a relitavely easy ans inexpensive repair !
