Hope you don't mind me adding 2 pennies worth
The code you are supplying us is probably the renault code for the fault, (renault do not release these codes) it will interchange with a "P" code on the standardised international/european system, the "P" code is what we need (ie. P1706) this will give us the reason for the fault, or you could ring a renault dealer for an explanation of the fault code ? ... most good repair centre's will be able to plug the car into a diagnostic computer to retrieve the "P" code, repost with the code for more information or repost with a detailed explanation of the fault !!
