Hi im havin problems with my engine!
originally I suspected the starter motor but the engine is trying to turn over.
the fuel pump now does not make any noise when attempting to start up. The car is a renault clio with a laguna 1.8 rsi engine in. I recently bought this car and have little more info on it.
i just wondered if you could tell me the location of the fuel pump and if you think this is the problem?

also the alarm has been disconnected and reconnected and I wondered if it could be a problem with the immobiliser?
the alarm is a laserline 1992 range I have all the keys and original fob, I just wondered if this could be part of the problem?

i would be grateful for any help or advice you can give.

I'm not very familiar with this car, but usually fuel pumps are located inside the gas tank.
It is possible that your immobiliser shut off your fuel pump, which explain why you don't hear it anymore.
I would go to a dealer and get the safety system reset.
