My remote stopped working after locking the car. I use my physical key to unlock it, and the alarm goes off and I can’t start the ignition. I tried what the manual recommended, turning the key in on position for 30 seconds and it didn’t work. I tried another recommendation of on for 30 seconds then lock for 10 seconds then on for 10 seconds. Nothing is working and I don’t have a way to replace the remote right now and I ordered batteries to try that, but I’m stuck until they arrive. What should I do?

You have the right idea, replace the batteries in the remote and then lock and unlock the car and it should start. In the meantime the remote has a passive chip inside so if you hold it next to the ignition switch while trying to start it, it might work, turn the key on without cranking the engine, watch for the security light to go out and then try to crank the engine over. Also, you can try the manual door reset:

Lock and unlock the driver’s door using the key three times in a row. Immediately insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the “ON” position. Wait 30-60 seconds. Try to start the car.

Let me know what happens.
